3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8 that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, 9 he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, 10 to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment —to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ. 11 In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, 12 in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. 13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.

Grace and peace to you, beloved, from God our Father and from our Lord Jesus Christ. What a joy it is to gather in the house of God to breathe in His presence, lift up His name, and remember that we are not orphans wandering through this world, but sons and daughters blessed in Christ. Whether you come weary or rejoicing, uncertain or expectant, one truth remains unshaken: you are already blessed before you even ask for a blessing. The Spirit of God calls us to open our eyes and see the riches that are already ours in Christ, to stop begging for what heaven has already given, and to discover what was written about us before time began.
하나님 우리 아버지와 주 예수 그리스도로부터 은혜와 평강이 여러분에게 있기를 바랍니다. 사랑하는 여러분, 하나님의 집에 함께 모여 그분의 임재를 느끼고, 그분의 이름을 높이며, 우리가 이 세상을 떠도는 고아가 아니라 그리스도 안에서 복을 받은 아들과 딸임을 기억할 수 있다는 것은 얼마나 큰 기쁨입니까. 지쳐 있든, 기뻐하든, 불확실하든, 기대하든 변하지 않는 한 가지 진리가 있습니다. 우리는 복을 구하기도 전에 이미 복 받은 존재라는 사실입니다. 하나님의 영은 우리에게 눈을 열어, 그리스도 안에서 이미 우리에게 주어진 풍성한 유업을 보게 하시며, 하늘이 이미 주신 것을 구걸하던 삶을 멈추고, 창세 전부터 우리에 관해 기록된 것을 발견하라고 부르십니다.
Paul begins his letter to the Ephesians not with a problem but with praise. In verses 3 to 14, he writes one long, unbroken hymn that begins in eternity and ends in glory. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places.” Before the first sunrise, before Adam’s breath, God had already blessed us in Christ. The blessing did not begin when we prayed it began when God decided.

We do not earn these blessings; we walk into what already exists. God is not reacting to our faith; He is revealing His grace. Every blessing peace, forgiveness, wisdom, strength, and provision is already in Him. The problem is not that God has withheld; it is that we have not yet awakened to what He has given.
우리가 그 복을 얻는 것은 노력의 결과가 아니라, 이미 존재하는 은혜 안으로 걸어 들어가는 일입니다. 하나님은 우리의 믿음에 반응하시는 분이 아니라, 그분의 은혜를 드러내시는 분이십니다. 평안, 용서, 지혜, 능력, 공급 — 모든 복은 이미 그분 안에 있습니다. 문제는 하나님이 withheld(아끼신) 것이 아니라, 우리가 이미 주어진 것을 깨닫지 못한 채 살고 있다는 것입니다.
A wealthy father once left a great inheritance to his son, but the son never read the will. He lived in poverty, unaware that his name was written on every account. That is how many believers live poor in knowledge but rich in grace, heirs of everything yet living as though they have nothing. Beloved, you are richer than you think not in gold, but in grace.
한 부유한 아버지가 아들에게 거대한 유산을 남겼습니다. 하지만 그 아들은 유언장을 읽지 않았습니다. 그는 자신이 모든 재산의 상속자라는 사실도 모른 채 가난하게 살았습니다.
많은 신자들이 이렇게 삽니다. 은혜로는 부요하지만, 지식으로는 가난한 자처럼. 모든 것을 상속받았지만, 아무것도 가진 것처럼 살지 못합니다.

Paul writes, “He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us for adoption to Himself as sons through Jesus Christ.” Before creation, before sin, before failure, God already chose you. You are not an accident on earth; you are an intention in eternity. His choice was not based on your performance but on His purpose. In love, He predestined you not to control you but to claim you.
바울은 이렇게 씁니다. “곧 창세 전에 그리스도 안에서 우리를 택하사, 우리로 사랑 안에서 그 앞에 거룩하고 흠이 없게 하시려고, 그 기쁘신 뜻대로 우리를 예정하사, 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 자기의 아들들이 되게 하셨으니.” 창조 이전에, 죄 이전에, 실패 이전에, 하나님은 이미 여러분을 택하셨습니다.

In the Roman world, when a father adopted a son, that child’s past was erased and his debts canceled. The new father’s name was written over him, and his inheritance was made permanent. That is exactly what God did for you. He erased your past, canceled your debts, and wrote His name upon your life. You are not a mistake God tolerates; you are a child God chose.
로마 시대에 아버지가 아들을 입양하면, 그 아들의 과거는 지워지고, 빚은 탕감되었습니다. 새 아버지의 이름이 새겨지고, 상속은 영원히 보장되었습니다.
바로 이것이 하나님께서 여러분에게 하신 일입니다. 그 분은 여러분의 과거를 지우셨고, 빚을 갚으셨으며, 자신의 이름을 여러분 위에 새기셨습니다. 여러분은 하나님이 어쩔 수 없이 받아주신 실수가 아니라, 하나님이 기쁨으로 택하신 자녀입니다.
Then Paul says, “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace.” Redemption means to buy back. Humanity stood condemned in the marketplace of sin, but God stepped in not with silver or gold but with the blood of His Son. The cross is not decoration; it is transaction. It is the divine receipt marked Paid in Full. Grace is not cheap; it cost God everything.

Picture a condemned man sitting in a dark prison cell. Another man walks in, removes His robe, and says, “Let him go. I’ll die instead.” That is redemption. The innocent takes the place of the guilty. The Son of God took your judgment and gave you His righteousness. The cross is not the end of sin; it is the beginning of sonship. The blood that bought you cannot lose you.

The gospel, Paul says, is the mystery of God’s will now revealed. God’s plan was never an afterthought but an eternal purpose to unite all things in Christ. From Adam’s fall to Abraham’s call, from Moses’ law to Mary’s womb, there was one story unfolding: redemption through Jesus Christ.
바울은 복음을 하나님의 뜻의 비밀이 드러난 것이라 부릅니다. 하나님의 계획은 즉흥적인 대책이 아니라, 영원 전부터 있던 구속의 계획이었습니다. 아담의 타락에서 아브라함의 부르심으로, 모세의 율법에서 마리아의 태까지. 모든 역사는 하나의 이야기로 이어졌습니다. 바로 예수 그리스도를 통한 구속의 이야기.
History is not random; it is redemption in motion. The same God who designed salvation before time began is still directing your life today. You are not walking through chaos but through divine order. Say it with faith: “My life is not random; God’s redemption is unfolding through me.”
역사는 우연이 아닙니다. 구속이 움직이는 과정입니다. 시간이 흘러도 여전히 그 구원의 설계자이신 하나님이 오늘도 여러분의 삶을 인도하고 계십니다. 당신은 혼돈 속을 걷는 것이 아니라, 하나님의 질서 속을 걷고 있는 것입니다. 믿음으로 고백하십시오.
“내 인생은 우연이 아니다. 하나님의 구속이 내 안에서 펼쳐지고 있다.”
When you believed in Christ, God sealed you with His Spirit. The seal means ownership, authenticity, and protection. It is the King’s mark upon your life saying, “You belong to Me.” Imagine a royal messenger carrying a sealed letter through a storm. The winds blow and rain falls, but the seal remains unbroken. That is you. Life may shake you, but the Spirit of God holds you. No power on earth can break His seal. The Holy Spirit is not just a feeling; He is the eternal proof that you are God’s child.
여러분이 그리스도를 믿을 때, 하나님은 성령으로 여러분을 인치셨습니다. 그 인은 소유권, 진정성, 보호를 의미합니다. 그것은 왕이 “너는 내 것이다”라고 선언하신 표입니다. 폭풍 속을 지나며 왕의 인장이 찍힌 편지를 들고 가는 사신을 상상해 보십시오.

Paul repeats one phrase three times: “to the praise of His glory.” We were chosen to the praise of His glory, redeemed to the praise of His glory, and sealed to the praise of His glory. Everything in our lives exists to reflect His greatness. Worship is not a song we sing it is the story we live. Every tear becomes a verse of mercy, every victory a chorus of praise. You are the melody of God’s grace.
바울은 한 문구를 세 번 반복합니다. “그의 영광의 찬송이 되게 하려 하심이라.”

Finally, Paul says the Spirit is the guarantee of our inheritance until we possess it fully. The Spirit is God’s down payment the promise that everything He said will come true. Every time you sense His presence, every time His Word burns in your heart, heaven whispers, “There’s more coming.” The Holy Spirit is God’s engagement ring, assuring us that the wedding day of glory will arrive. You are not living for applause but for eternal reward.
마지막으로 바울은 말합니다. “성령은 우리의 기업의 보증이시니, 그 얻으신 것을 속량하시고 그의 영광을 찬송하게 하려 하심이라.” 성령은 하나님의 계약금이며,

Beloved, the world wants you to live like an orphan, and religion wants you to live like a servant, but God calls you to live as a son. You are chosen, redeemed, and sealed. Stop living as though grace could expire or God could change His mind.
사랑하는 여러분, 세상은 여러분이 고아처럼 살기를 원합니다. 종교는 여러분이 종처럼 살기를 원합니다. 그러나 하나님은 여러분이 아들로 살기를 원하십니다. 여러분은 택함 받았고, 구속되었고, 인침 받았습니다. 그러니 더 이상 은혜가 만료될까 두려워하지 말고,
하나님이 마음을 바꾸실까 걱정하지 마십시오.
You are part of an eternal story that cannot be reversed. The cross was the purchase, the Spirit is the seal, and glory is the inheritance. Therefore, walk as the redeemed, speak as the witnesses, and stand as the sons and daughters of the King. Let the world see what it means to be truly Blessed in Christ lives filled with truth, hearts burning with the Spirit, and voices declaring the praise of His glory.
여러분은 결코 되돌릴 수 없는 영원한 이야기의 일부입니다. 십자가는 값이 지불된 증거이고, 성령은 인침의 보증이며, 영광은 우리의 유업입니다. 그러므로 구속받은 자답게 걸으십시오. 증인답게 말하십시오. 왕의 아들딸답게 서십시오.
