1. Saul told his son Jonathan and all the attendants to kill David. But Jonathan was very fond of David
2. and warned him, “My father Saul is looking for a chance to kill you. Be on your guard tomorrow morning; go into hiding and stay there.
3. I will go out and stand with my father in the field where you are. I’ll speak to him about you and will tell you what I find out.”
4. Jonathan spoke well of David to Saul his father and said to him, “Let not the king do wrong to his servant David; he has not wronged you, and what he has done has benefited you greatly.
5. He took his life in his hands when he killed the Philistine. The LORD won a great victory for all Israel, and you saw it and were glad. Why then would you do wrong to an innocent man like David by killing him for no reason?”

6. Saul listened to Jonathan and took this oath: “As surely as the LORD lives, David will not be put to death.”
7. So Jonathan called David and told him the whole conversation. He brought him to Saul, and David was with Saul as before.
8. Once more war broke out, and David went out and fought the Philistines. He struck them with such force that they fled before him.
9. But an evil spirit from the LORD came upon Saul as he was sitting in his house with his spear in his hand. While David was playing the harp,
10. Saul tried to pin him to the wall with his spear, but David eluded him as Saul drove the spear into the wall. That night David made good his escape.

probably not I mean I love to drive fast once in a while yeah like 11 p.m yeah just empty Highway yeah why wouldn’t I but I even if I want to I won’t be able to do so um probably cannot so here we have a very simple but very important lesson the driver the person who gripped the handle of the car is very important you know no matter how good is the car yeah how good the car is still the person who got the handle is very important more important so today let us consider ourselves as a Mercedes-Benz uh yeah Ferrari Bentley you know just all of us are cars okay very expensive cars because all of you are very precious people more than those cars okay so yeah why don’t you turn to your neighbors and say you’re precious then bends your precious then Ferrari just choose one of them bless them yeah you’re precious then Mercedes-Benz your precious then Bentley you are precious then I don’t know yes um Lamborghini all right yeah let’s see yeah we value more than that if I have to choose between Lamborghini and TJ I’ll be wiping on my tears and choose TJ but anyway yeah so we just figured out that we are very precious people that’s number one number two is that we are somehow like a car the person who drives the driver is real important for our lives okay with this concept of mind let’s keep going so we see David and Saul yes standing up there and Saul tries to kill David right um I skipped actually one chapter so it was after David killing Goliath yes um Saul got jealous and he had evil spirit in him and then David was always playing some sort of small harp called liar right so to drive the spirit out and Saul always threw his spear to David and it was like eight times that we watched today

for this guy huh if anybody harms me or to my family uh yeah today’s today is the very last day we will have our worship service with yeah my partner Jane yes she today will be the last day she cannot come anymore yes the baby is like full grown here so once in a while she throws up in a random game like what if this happened what if this happened and if that if that silly quiz game is related to the safety of my family I always go like I’m gonna go find a guy yes uh Bend his spine into kiok and knee shape and I’m gonna kill him yes nobody touches my family all of our debt is here do you feel the same if someone’s taking jio tune and run what are you going to do JW yeah you got killing people that’s that is right yes Elder Zhang he’s very nice person but I don’t know what would you turn into if anything bad happens to Rachel and you know the person who did it if you know I don’t know what what you’re going to do that is her like that mommies even stronger right women are a beautiful fragile week maybe but not the mamas don’t deal with moms okay don’t you ever dare you know like no don’t stand against them yes when I look at my mom I also feel the same yes my dad’s a boxer he used to box yes but I don’t know when both person gets angry I think yeah my mom will be like that I didn’t make my PPT like that but somehow it’s very illegible yeah it’s very bad to read sorry oops yeah let me just read it for you so oh the blue part is very clear so from verse 1 through verse 5 we see Jonathan yes refused Saul’s will to murder David and insist that David is innocent so after trying to kill David so many times yes sorry I didn’t make it like that okay anyway so yeah um Saul said let’s kill David to Jonathan and other people but Jonathan refused hey why do you try to kill this innocent person and especially he try to help you out come on he tried to save Israel you shouldn’t do it you shouldn’t do that and by doing that you’re going to commit a sin committed evil so verse 6 he says yeah we can also look at our Bibles too look at the verse 6 and you will see these parts as surely as the Lord okay yeah let’s read that part all together three two one as surely as the Lord lives will not be put to death okay um here’s the thing

as surely as the Lord lives it means I you know I’m gonna use the name of God for my promise I don’t do that unless something like this happens actually as the Lord lives I’m going to drink the water

boom that just happened yes unless like this I wouldn’t do that yes because God also in the in his tenth commandment that do not use my name yes for for you know for something in vain or something that you cannot make yes Old Testament always put an emphasis on making making a vow with the name of the Lord right so he did it like that he said like that but at the end of the story today we see led by the evil spirit he broke his promise and threw the spear unto David once again hmm

I didn’t make it like this I didn’t make it like that uh yes Paul can you please turn the white letters into black letters while I’m talking thank you all right so I took a look at different scriptures oh no you don’t have to change the light yes so I took a look at some scriptures from Psalms chapter 34 yes and from first Samuel chapter 15 and 16 to see what was going on so Psalms chapter 34 was the poem that David wrote while he was being yes he was being threatened uh not all the letters but good anyway we can read it I think good there was the yeah only white letters make it into black thank you yes so let’s take a look at some sort of 34 and verse 19 just verse 19 okay three two one the righteous person may have many troubles but the Lord delivers him from them all yes so David himself also knew that he was racist one he knew he himself knew that he didn’t do anything wrong and all of them were happening let’s let’s look at each other’s face and see if they look like a good innocent people or villains so to speak okay not all of us are like celebrity looking okay I’m not that handsome I got this cool hair but that’s it yeah I cannot change my face unless I get some plastic surgery all right that’s something God gave if you’re not satisfied fine just concentrate on the word of God thank you yes Hallelujah yeah not to this face but to the word of mouth but to the Word of Mouth from the God okay well nobody looks that bad here and let me ask you this question so let’s start from this so when we make uh some sort of appointment you know like let’s meet at the mall 1pm something like that okay

you and your friend your acquaintance do they come on time mostly or do they get laid mostly let’s see they come on time

you have only Sandy has good friends okay they always come on late

gosh we have worse kind of take their friends away from your Facebook Instagram follow list okay unfollow them good yeah unfriend okay bye bye you lazy yes okay so let’s see then in your family especially among parents and children sometimes we make a sort of Promise like I will back up on time or I will not I will ask you kimchi from yeah I wanna I’m not I will stop being picky or yeah let’s see uh I’m gonna watch my language yes we make that kind of promise okay right um

let’s go back to our childhood first I used to be the one who keep the promise raise your hand

we are all bad children okay then looking at looking back on your kid they keep the promise three two one I hope I hope my kid keep the promise okay so we also often break promises we fail to do that um but what we see from here is a bit weird Saul made a promise with the name of the Lord and he just broke it right away so here’s real important question none silly but very important question did South really mean it was it just speaking was he just saying some words to just you know Comfort Jonathan oh my son no it’s okay I’m not gonna do that or did he seriously mean it I’m not going to kill David and as surely as the Lord lives show your idea or even own pastors the opinion deep first so Saul really minted raise your hand so I really mean it okay then let’s see he just said for the consequence or looking at the situation just to make Jonathan feel good

all right um yeah

probably I don’t know I wasn’t the person you know he saw himself and I wasn’t there so I cannot be sure but I’m not at the point that he really meant it because as surely as the Lord lives that really means that he’s gonna keep the word of God keep the word that he spoke to God he really mean it and he failed somehow um was it by a rage or anger or certain sort of emotion only I don’t think so because it clearly said he was led by the evil spirit if you look at the verse 16 yes chapter 16 verse 14. it says like that can we read together now the spirit of the Lord had departed from Saul and an evil spirit from the Lord tormented him so from the time yes from the time the evil spirit came and okay it was I’m sort of T person more of a thinking person so okay evil spirit came from long time ago so that happened once again but why instead of the spirit of God why was Saul having the evil spirit let’s dig even deeper let’s go to chapter 15. he says but Samuel replied let’s read the first question together does the Lord Delight in burnt offerings and sacrifice as much as in obeying the Lord so yeah God asked Saul to kill everybody on the battle but instead he kept some good looking kettles and he gathered some goodies yes and he offered he gave an offering to God

even offering there was a there’s something that’s something that God would like yeah like after the sermon we you know hand out our offering box yes our our dear beautiful deaconiously she holds up the offering box and she goes around yes just like the offering he offered he gave what he had but God was not satisfied why because he said he Delights in not in the offering but from the obeying God yes and let’s read further true obey is better than sacrifice and to heed is better than the fat of rams fat of rams look at that expression the federal Rams let’s see um I’m I love delicacy I love I love tasty food anybody doesn’t like tasty food nobody here good do you love Jesus yes do you like do you love tasty food yes do you love meat yes okay good we are we are all one here yes one unity in Christ the fear of Rams let’s talk deeply about meat here so talking about the meat the muscle part gives us the texture and the main flavor and not the main flavor the sub flavor but when the fat of the meat gets burnt it’s

now the actual taste comes out the main taste you know top note middle note yes something like that the middle note of the juicy meat comes out from the fat and that means it is the best part of it and some people I don’t know the taste differs but Ram is one of the most delicious meat if it is well cooked yes and God says the best kind of meat the fat the most tasty part of the best meat still that doesn’t meet the quality of you and I we obey God gave a clear action to death after telling Saul like that what I want is your obedience not the offering and I’m gonna displace you from the King and I’m gonna have the new one and God just said that so here’s the simple logic that I found out number one yes Sal had evil spirit instead Holy Spirit number two why because that happened from disobedience all right yes and this the consequence of Disobedience wasn’t just evil spirit coming I think he was having a far distance from God

so the question was who drives you I just asked if we are great cars that we should have the good driver also at the same time um

who do you want to have as a driver Holy Spirit or evil spirit is there a very simple question do you really wish that Holy Spirit really drives you Holy Spirit really lead you into your life

I truly believe that all of us are good cars really you know if you compare there’s a car like everybody’s mentally here yeah truly I bless you and God will pour His blessing upon all of you

he will give more than what we asked for he will give more than what we need as we read from the book of Ruth God always gave more than the capacity that the person needs God always gave extra and that blessing will be with you all the time but all when you are driven by God but all then you’re driven by God I don’t want to talk about you know like be having our lives getting prospered without God you know it is all about walking with God yes um even the Prosper that Prosperity that I talked about is just one of the outcomes yes that action yes I could just focus on the action and could say don’t do such don’t commit such evil like Saul yes just like that I could maybe somebody would look at the Bible like that but I want to really dig deeper into the fundamentals the core elements of the belief how can we have Holy Spirit in us all the time so the Holy Spirit drives Our Lives what was David doing he was playing his musical instrument and probably he played worship songs and he might have even sang too he was one of the way of keeping the word of God near I’m a presbyterian I’m a presbyterian pastor they like sermon and the word of God more for sure you know if they if we are unbalanced maybe the law will go on the music

but whenever I come here and preach and whenever I share the word of God or whenever I am the one who’s sitting down and listening to the word of God

the amount of the amount of the blessings and understandings and the the amount of feeling that moves my heart gets way bigger when I really put myself into the worship during the time for the praise you know even though I’m a pastor after this service we have the afternoon service right yes from 1 30 yeah from 2 30 yes so yeah then sometimes I get very tired from here yes and then I don’t know I might be less energetic and not really get involved during the prison worship but other times for most of the time that I try I really get into the worship I really get into the praise and the same sermon feels different and all the words even if the pastor you know didn’t go really well with his 100 good condition still all the words does sound like voice of God telling me you know not because the pastor is summoned great but somebody inside the pastors someone great I see God inside the pastor the preacher who’s talking and all of them sounds like God speaking to me wherever you go and wherever you worship yeah keep the word near yes it’s not only going to be the preaching desk and the Word of Mouth from the pastor but even from the conversation that you have with your companions you know co-workers if God speaks through them and if you’re keeping the word of God near everything will sound like the voice of God and you’ll be able to distinguish also the voice of Satan who just come and try to break you down

who drives you and how can we have the good driver it is a It Is by keeping God near us all the time

who drives you seriously these days who’s driving you probably you’ll be confused or you won’t be kind of confident to speak out right away with one certain answer to figure that out look how you do in your daily single daily lives for every single decisions that you make look back and see if they were if it seemed like me getting close to God or not

unfortunately yes we are all sinners and we are the descendants of Adam who inherit the sinful nature altogether we all say and you know what people not believing in Jesus Christ you know people out there they all go with their method to you know like mind controlling or like meditating try to be let’s try to be a good people yeah I want to be good and people go through many different ways of thinking or many different way of manage themselves through self-development yeah there are lots of books about how to control your mind and all that but

does it work do they work 100 all the time

even to the one that you love even to your family sometimes you just burst out you didn’t mean to but that happens and once in a while in a random moment you know when something important comes up you don’t do that at your work you’re in a business meeting and your boss is being stupid to you do you just burst out your angers not but when simulating happens with your in a casual moment you might just burst out and throw your anger at the person

we are just people like that same here yeah

today’s answer is very simple keep the word of God near and

keep the praise and keep anything about God near to you all the time get closer to him and invite Jesus as your driver and enjoy the fullness of having Jesus in your life enjoy all the outcomes all the fruits that you’re going to Bear while having the best driver in this world Jesus Christ let us pray

God we are created in the image of you you said let us create human in the image of us and let us create them male and female you created us with your own image so we do have that on the other side we inherit the sinful nature that we also have the one who picked up the fruit that’s me and that’s us and the one who chose to be disobedient they might be us too we come here and worship you and we do we go through our every routine and the steps for the worship service with this safe environment do not let this be or certain kind of habit or ritual but let every single steps in the worship service come from Truly Deeply from our heart and when we do that God come inside us be our driver and drive out all the evil spirit and you be the only driver who griped the handle and lead us into the right way lead us into the green pasture believing in them all we pray in the name of Jesus amen
